This well-known
restaurant is very busy not only during weekends but on other days
as well. There is normally a long queue waiting to sample its
trademark dim sum dishes. Even though the floor space is big
and there are plenty of tables, the high-turnover of patrons attest
to its popularity. It is also well known for its mooncakes that is
prepared inhouse during the festival..
There is a seemingly
endless list of the variety of dim sums here. Dim sum comes steamed,
baked and deep-fried. Some items can be chosen before hand and these
can be cooked to the preference of the dinner. The restaurant
manages to introduce something different each week and it might be
good to check on what's new. Another unique feature is that
dim sum is served at all hours of the day.
Also recommended are its homemade chee cheong fun, which comes with
sauces like mushroom and chicken and curry (an Ipoh speciality),
and another interesting Perak concoction, which uses
sweet sauce, sesame seeds, soya sauce and a sprinkling of green
chillies.
